Dreamy Dungarees

If I had to choose one outfit style to wear for the rest of my life – a daily uniform if you will – it would have to be dungarees and a stripy tee. I usually have them on rotation anyway, and love how such a classic look has become the staple of my wardrobe. The simple style is so perenially chic, always hitting the nail on the head with relaxed Parisian vibes while simultaneously making a silent statement.

Spotty Blouse

In the spot / stripe debate I’ve usually been firmly over the line on the stripe side. However, they’re both classic prints and I’m starting to realise that there is room for both in my wardrobe. Over the years my Mum’s love of all things spotty has slowly but surely been trickling down to me (her excitement at discovering a new polka-dot garment is only rivalled by my finding a chunky Breton top) and, after coming across a couple of specific items that suit my personal style, I’ve decided I’m now a lover of both spots and stripes (but maybe stripes a little bit more).

Shine On

Festival Season is undoubtedly my favourite time of year. I say this every year (because it’s true). It’s the cocktail of friends, music, drinks and (most importantly) funky outfits that gives you a buzz like no other. This is also the only week of the year I will gladly throw myself into embracing the great outdoors, whether it be rain (is it even a festival if it doesn’t rain?) tent malfunctions or ant infestations I’ll take it all because nothing beats that festival feeling.

The Day Dress

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

While I love summer and all the seasonal clothes, different shapes and pretty styles that come hand in hand with it, I am theΒ worstΒ person at making quick decisions (or any decisions) especially when it comes to narrowing down what to buy or what to bring on holiday. Sometimes I feel like there’s so much on offer and so much I want that I’d rather not buy anything; or just ignore it all and explore charity shops instead.

Beach Baby

A good beach and a good book equals a happy holiday (in my case at least). Albufeira Beach was the centrepiece of our destination – we overlooked it from our balcony, buried our toes in its sand while making our way to the Old Town and spent one blissful day walking its length, settling on a spot and lazing there (that just so happened to be the breeziest, coolest day of our trip). Knowing we had nowhere to be and no responsibilities but the duty to stay chilled – and possibly finish a couple of books – was so satisfying and we definitely made the most of it!

Current Inspo

Longer days, brighter weather and the knowledge I have a stretch of summer freedom in front of me paves the way for creative thinking. A cloud of images and plans have been rambling through my head in preparation for the excitement and anticipation of summer, so I’ve gathered my inspirations for a brainstorm on what’s captured my eye recently and what I’m looking forward to in the coming months.

A Weekend in Sheffield

After a severe lack of city weekend breaks (mine and Jack’s exploring speciality) we decided to treat ourselves and head somewhere for bank holiday weekend. Only an hour away from me in Notts, Sheffield was our perfect candidate; and as the hometown of my all-time favourite band, Arctic Monkeys (proper fan girl alert), it was somewhere I have always been intrigued to visit. However, as we soon realised after arriving: Sheffield is a strange place… and although we had a great time in each others’ company I won’t try and pretend to you that it’s somewhere I plan to return to again. If you are visiting, though, I’ll share with you some of the highlights of our interesting trip below!
