April? It feels like we may as well still be in the depths of winter with the rain and wind that insists on sticking around. If the sun won’t show itself, though, that’s just an excuse (as if I needed another one) to invest in some colourful and refreshing spring pieces to brighten up even the gloomiest of days.
‘Florals for spring? Groundbreaking.’ I have to agree with Miranda Priestly and her blunt sarcasm there (The Devil Wears Prada is a favourite film of mine). I wouldn’t really call myself a floral lover apart from the odd exception – although I could quite happily purchase all of & Other Stories’ long, floaty tea dresses.
I love blogging, but as a student it can be hard to keep up to date with current trends and continuously refresh my wardrobe as, lets face it, we’re a bit hard up when it comes to money. Clothes are my main priority – as soon as I get a lil’ bit of money, I’m dreaming of what’s top of my list to get my hands on and how I can weave it into my chameleon fashion collection. As all students or previous students (and probably non-students) are aware of, however, we do like our partying – and so sufficient funds must be dedicated to socialising with friends on a weekly basis. Spring is on the horizon and I’m so down for it. As much as I love winter’s knits and big coats I can’t wait to bare my ankles without getting frostbite and (dare I say it) maybe even reintroduce my Birkenstocks to the world. Lighter, warmer and smoother accessories can come into play and I’ve never been so ready to bask in the (cold) sun.
