I’m lucky that when everything gets a little too much in life, I can escape back to the rural peace that comes with the Welsh countryside. While these past few weeks have been pretty tough, it always makes me especially grateful to have the amazing friends and family around me that I do – and for living in such a beautiful environment around plenty of fresh air and footpaths for thinking things through and clearing my head.
Gingham is without a doubt this year’s most dreamy summer pattern. Picnic perfect, beach-ready and city break chic, it can literally be worn everywhere and is super easy to pull off. It’s one of those recurring trends that never seems to properly go out of fashion, and every so often gets taken off the back burner and recycled with new styles and tweaks. This season you can get any kind of garment in any colour gingham – it’s everywhere in every style! I’m especially loving ruffled midi gingham skirts and am on the lookout for the perfect one…
While my blog has had a fresh lick of paint, (so faint you might not even have noticed it – a bit of a jazz up and a new site link) I’ve been out giving my wardrobe a fresh lick of paint too.
Skinny white jeans aren’t for me – I’m messy, clumsy, and they just don’t suit me. But the off-white, cream colours and more straight cut styles have appealed to me for some time (and seemed like something I could make work for me). Continue reading “Styling up for Spring”
Hello from 2017, here’s wishing you all a happy and prosperous new year (which won’t be hard if it’s even a bit better than 2016…). I apologise for my incognito stance for the past few weeks, I’ve been making the most of the holidays and completely relaxing – which actually fills more time than you’d think (explaining my absence to weekly posts). But I’m back and full of ideas which I’ll try my best to fit around uni work.
With less than a week till Santa comes our way, I’ve compiled my last minute list in case the big man has any extra room left in his sleigh… It includes more party gear (because we can definitely drag the party season out until at least February) and inspirations for the New Year.
