Gingham is without a doubt this year’s most dreamy summer pattern. Picnic perfect, beach-ready and city break chic, it can literally be worn everywhere and is super easy to pull off. It’s one of those recurring trends that never seems to properly go out of fashion, and every so often gets taken off the back burner and recycled with new styles and tweaks. While I love summer and all the seasonal clothes, different shapes and pretty styles that come hand in hand with it, I am the worst person at making quick decisions (or any decisions) especially when it comes to narrowing down what to buy or what to bring on holiday. Sometimes I feel like there’s so much on offer and so much I want that I’d rather not buy anything; or just ignore it all and explore charity shops instead.
I’ve been searching for a peasant top for my upcoming holiday, and hadn’t been able to find one good enough to shed out forty/fifty pounds on. But I picked this one up in French Connection’s sale for just £19 (down from £65) and I love the beautiful embroidery features and tasselled waist belt.
