Candyfloss Jeans

Pale pink is becoming more common in my wardrobe as time goes on (any kind of pink incorporation is a big thing for me) and I’m really beginning to love the colour. I have a couple of posts lined up to share with you my newly adopted pink items and how I’m styling them – I’ve been hooked on finding the dream jeans since that pink puffa inspired me earlier this year. Despite initial reservations, I’ve found that pink is versatile, cool and although it can be dressed in a feminine fashion, is actually more masculine than ever before. Men from all walks are increasingly rocking the hue and looking FAB and it’s easier now for us gals to pull it off in a casual way thanks to all the amazing options out there – we can dress it down, or up, without looking like a lost Disney Princess (unless that’s what you’re aiming for).

Best of the Fests

If you are a friend, family member or regular reader you’ll know how much I love festivals (and how much I bang on about it too). I’ve been going for years but this time round I think I’ve seriously caught the festi bug after travelling to Bilbao, and next year I’m going to save and aim to do three in one summer (and hopefully every other summer thereafter). There’s so many fabulously groovy festivals out there and it’s going to take a hell of a long time to attend all the ones I want to if I continue at a snails pace by doing one per year.Β As 2017’s festival season (and summer) draws to a close with only a few big names left, I want to celebrate the incredible fashion and funky spirit that has inspired me from this year’s best festivals!

English Rose

Something I’ve always wanted but never gotten round to looking for: a vintage bicycle. This post is partly a massive thank you to my boyfriend, who has made that little dream come true by putting in the effort to find me this amazing, quirky and rustic bike; it’s definitely one of the best presents I’ve ever been lucky enough to receive. He spent hours researching and googling and bargaining to get me the one that would suit me most, picked it up and delivered it on my birthday – and I have to say, he got it pretty spot on.

Summer Layering

It’s difficult to define a summer wardrobe in Britain when most of the season is as gloomy as our winter. Rather than planning an outfit, we pretty much have to wing it depending on the weather – meaning ‘summer dressing’ has been replaced by wearing whatever we want in spite of the climes. The unpredictability of rain and unreliable weather forecasts mean we have to stay spontaneous and play up our free-spirited, ‘oh this? I just threw this on’ (literally) because there’s a good chance your new purchases will be unwearable due to torrential downpours – either that or you think ‘what the heck’ and wear it anyway.

Back to Black

I used to be a self-confessed black clothing addict. I’d wear it religiously, head-to-toe and if I did incorporate any colour, it would be minimal and subtle. I’ve long since found my inner rainbow andΒ loveΒ embracing bright shades that suit me – orange and red are among my faves, and I’ll usually have a splash of colour in all of my ensembles. However, black is a trusty friend that I’ll return to time after time if I’m feeling stuck; especially if I’m going out or I’m having one of those days where nothing looks right. Everyone knows black is slimming and super flattering (great when I’m bloated) and with the right textures and materials, can seriously boost my confidence. So it was a no-brainer that this Boohoo co-ord set was the one for my birthday party!

Lust List: August

It’s my bday month (!!!) so I’m on the lookout for the goodies I’m going to treat myself to – because if you can’t do it on your birthday, when can you?! I love being a summer baby, partly because I’m one of the youngest in my friendship / year group, so while for every previous coming of age milestone I’ve been irritated to have to wait my turn (drinking, driving…) now it’s kind of a blessing because I’m still 19. Although not for long. And while it’d be dreamy to stay a teenager forever (please, let me) I’m super excited to be celebrating with some of my closest friends in my fave way: a garden party. That’s the other thing I love about having a birthday slap bang in the middle of summer – it’s a smashing excuse to have a barbie, crack out the Pimms and get your boogie on in the garden, come rain or shine (most probably rain, this is Wales after all).Β So, here’s whats on the top of my list this year (hint hint).
