I love blogging, but as a student it can be hard to keep up to date with current trends and continuously refresh my wardrobe as, lets face it, we’re a bit hard up when it comes to money. Clothes are my main priority – as soon as I get a lil’ bit of money, I’m dreaming of what’s top of my list to get my hands on and how I can weave it into my chameleon fashion collection. As all students or previous students (and probably non-students) are aware of, however, we do like our partying – and so sufficient funds must be dedicated to socialising with friends on a weekly basis. While my blog has had a fresh lick of paint, (so faint you might not even have noticed it – a bit of a jazz up and a new site link) I’ve been out giving my wardrobe a fresh lick of paint too.
Skinny white jeans aren’t for me – I’m messy, clumsy, and they just don’t suit me. But the off-white, cream colours and more straight cut styles have appealed to me for some time (and seemed like something I could make work for me). Continue reading “Styling up for Spring”
After a severe lack of city weekend breaks (mine and Jack’s exploring speciality) we decided to treat ourselves and head somewhere for bank holiday weekend. Only an hour away from me in Notts, Sheffield was our perfect candidate; and as the hometown of my all-time favourite band, Arctic Monkeys (proper fan girl alert), it was somewhere I have always been intrigued to visit. However, as we soon realised after arriving: Sheffield is a strange place… and although we had a great time in each others’ company I won’t try and pretend to you that it’s somewhere I plan to return to again. If you are visiting, though, I’ll share with you some of the highlights of our interesting trip below!
The band visited Nottingham on their Different Creatures tour, supported by INHEAVEN and star act The Magic Gang.
So much for April showers! This week’s mini heatwave has got me all excited for summer, so some things I’m after may be a little optimistic for this month… but there’s nothing wrong with being prepared! If you read my previous post you’ll be aware that I’m seeing red (pun intended) and it’s gonna be my go-to colour for the foreseeable future, along with good old denim and a dose of basket bags.
