Lust List: February

It feels unreal that February is already upon us – every year seems to come and go faster than the last! But every new month brings new inspirations and opportunities and, most importantly, moves us that little bit closer to Summer. For me, this February is full of silver statement jewellery, classy loungewear and one shop new to Nottingham that I know will be my go-to interiors stockist.

1 – The Cashmere Scarf. I’m not one for big scarfs (they get too hot, they’re awkward and unpractical) but one type I am down for are the lighter cashmere kind. This grey one from Cos is a basic that will stand the test of time.

2 – The Statement Hoops. Gone are the days of the rounded hoop earring. The slightly cooler, sister of the circles are here in the form of rectangles, triangles (basically other shapes than circles). I’ll be updating my everyday hoop look with these Cos alternatives. NB: I have recently discovered the amazing store that is Cos, hence the overload.

3 – An Olympus Camera. For when my iPhone storage is used up and for better quality blog photos. My current camera is below-standard compared to my phone’s camera, but I like the feeling of having a professional device to use. I’m saving for an Olympus because from what I’ve seen, they’re the best.

4 -The Black Coat. Being the coat hoarder I am, you’d think I’d own the simple wardrobe staple of a black coat. But alas, I do not. I’m seriously considering ordering this *sale* Benetton coat though to fill that fashion gap (to go perfectly with the grey scarf…).

5 – Sostrene Grene. While wandering through Nottingham the other day a new interiors shop caught my eye – with its incredible window display of neutral colours interspersed with pops of pastel, I had to go in. It reminded me of Tiger, but with a more furniture and DIY based twist. It’s the first store open in the UK (which I will be taking full advantage of) by Danish sisters Anna and Clara, whose ethos is “with a curious and creative mind, even the smallest things can become something wonderful.” The shop’s modern take on rustic is a cosy sanctuary epitomising the genius that is Scandinavian chic. I’ve already fallen in love with one of their chairs, and am planning what to buy for my future house. Check out their website and Instagram.

6 – The Luxury Joggers. Don’t we all wish we could incorporate the comfort of trackies into our daily lives other than on a Sunday? Well, with stylish striped trousers it looks like that’s now become a reality. This pair are available from Mango.

7 – Vinyl of the week. Ultimate chill band The XX are back at it with their new album, I see you. For a relaxed, trippy vibe with melodic harmonies and background dance beats, this is the one. You’ve probably heard ‘On Hold’ but ‘Say Something Loving’ and ‘Replica’ are worth checking out too.

8 – Rosie for Autograph Active. The new active range designed and modelled by Rosie Huntingdon-Whitelely for M&S is here, and it’s inspiring me to go to the gym (mostly because I want her bod). I could do with a new pair of running leggings like this while the weather’s still cold to encourage me through my work outs, but the rest of the collection is also subtle and stylish.

Here’s to a great February.

Peace x
